How to determine your skin type


Skin type

1. How does your skin feel after cleansing?

  •  A. Tight and uncomfortable

  •  B. Smooth and soft

  •  C. Oily, especially in the T-zone (forehead, nose, and chin)

  •  D. Dry in some areas, oily in others (combination)

2. How often do you experience breakouts?

  •  A. Rarely, if ever

  •  B. Occasionally, usually hormonal

  •  C. Frequently, especially in the T-zone

  •  D. Sometimes, depending on the area of my face

3. What is your skin's natural shine level by midday?

  •  A. Little to no shine, may look dull

  •  B. A healthy, natural glow

  •  C. Shiny, particularly in the T-zone

  •  D. Shiny in some areas, dry in others

4. How would you describe your skin’s pores?

  •  A. Small and barely visible

  •  B. Normal size, not too noticeable

  •  C. Large, especially in the T-zone

  •  D. Large in some areas, small in others

5. How does your skin react to weather changes?

  •  A. Becomes even drier

  •  B. Remains relatively consistent

  •  C. Becomes oilier in hot weather

  •  D. Becomes dry in cold weather, oily in hot weather

6. What is your main skin concern?

  •  A. Dryness and flakiness

  •  B. Maintaining a healthy balance

  •  C. Excess oil and shine

  •  D. Both dryness and oiliness in different areas

Results:

  • Mostly A’s: Dry SkinYour skin tends to feel tight, especially after cleansing, and can be prone to flakiness. Focus on moisturizing and hydrating products.

  • Mostly B’s: Normal SkinYou have balanced skin that isn’t too oily or too dry. Your focus should be on maintaining this balance with gentle, hydrating skincare.

  • Mostly C’s: Oily SkinYour skin produces excess oil, particularly in the T-zone, and you may be prone to breakouts. Look for oil-controlling and mattifying products.

  • Mostly D’s: Combination SkinYour skin is oily in some areas (like the T-zone) and dry in others. You may need to use different products for different areas of your face.
